My 1982 Mazda 626:

1.6L, 4-speed manual, rwd

My beater during the year in the army, I just couldn't stand to be without a car! I bought it cheap with a blown headgasket, fixed it in my mother's garage, and just used it - HARD! The upper mount for the left rear shock was severely rusted, and just broke off, so I just removed the shock completely... This made for exciting driving over bumps or at speed! Eventually the cylinderhead cracked, and I just removed the radiator alltogether - Converted to aircooling, with a lesser degree of success... I drove it like this for two weeks, before I did what you can see in the photos below. It went to the scrap yard the next day.
